This feature lets you know someone else is calling while you are using your phone.
To use Call Waiting:
- If you hear a beep and want to end the first call, hang up. Your telephone will immediately ring with the second call.
- To answer a second call, press and release receiver button (or flash button) for a half second. The first call will be put on “hold”, and you will be connected to the second call.
- To return to the first call, press and release receiver button (or flash button). You may switch back as often as you like.
To end Call Waiting:
- End one conversation by waiting for the caller to hang up. You will be automatically and immediately reconnected to your other call.
- End both conversations by hanging up your phone.
To temporarily cancel Call Waiting before placing a call:
- Dial *70.
- Listen for second dial tone.
- Dial the number you want to reach.
To temporarily cancel Call Waiting while a call is in progress, you must be subscribed to Call Waiting and Three Way calling:
- Press receiver button (or flash button) for a half second to put call on hold.
- Listen for dial tone.
- Dial *70.
- Press receiver button (or flash button) for a half second to return to original call.
*NOTE: You cannot cancel Call Waiting while a call is in progress and a third party is trying to reach you. If a third caller tries to reach you while someone is already on hold,you will not hear a tone. The third caller will get a busy signal. Call waiting automatically reactivates when you hang up.
